How Does it Work
How does it work
The CPX80P is a radio. It connects the subscriber’s network to our WISP network.
The CPX80P uses a network cable to provide both data and power to the device. It’s powered via a PoE (Power over Ethernet) protocol. This means you can use a PoE injector in line with the network cable to provide power. There is a PoE injector included in the box in which the CPX80P is shipped.
If you’re using a BTI CR650 router to provide Wifi to the subscriber, you don’t need a PoE injector. The red port on the back of the CR650 provides power on its own.
The outdoor CPX80P connects to the tower to transmit and receive signals.
FAQs / Troubleshooting
1. The power indicator does not turn on
Check the cable from the LAN port on the outdoor CPE and the connection to the red port on the CR650 is fully connected
Make sure the CR650 is plugged in and has power
2. My internet stopped working
Try rebooting the Outdoor CPE by unplugging the CR650 from the wall, waiting 10 seconds, and then plugging it back in.
