The Inseego Hotspot is a versatile device designed to provide reliable mobile internet access. This basic user guide outlines key features and instructions to help you get started. 



1. What's Included

  • Inseego Hotspot Device

2. Device Overview

  • Power Button: Turns the hotspot on/off.

  • LCD Screen: This screen displays key information such as battery level, signal strength, data usage, Wi-Fi name (SSID), and password.

  • Charging Port: Connect the charging cable here.

  • SIM Card Slot: Usually pre-installed, but can be accessed if needed.

3. Setting Up Your Inseego Hotspot

Step 1: Charge Your Device

  • Use the provided charging cable to charge the hotspot fully. The LCD will show the battery percentage.

Step 2: Turn On the Hotspot

  • Press and hold the Power Button until the LCD screen lights up.

Step 3: Connect to the Wi-Fi

  • Open Wi-Fi settings on your phone, tablet, or computer.

  • Look for the Wi-Fi name (SSID) on the hotspot's screen.

  • Enter the password displayed on the hotspot's screen.

Step 4: Check Your Connection

  • Once connected, the hotspot's screen shows the number of devices connected and provides signal strength and data usage details.

4. Managing Wi-Fi Settings

Changing Wi-Fi Name and Password:

  • Open a web browser and type in the hotspot’s IP address, usually something like http://192.168.1.1 (this address is shown on the screen or provided in the manual).

  • Log in using the default admin credentials (in the quick start guide or under the battery compartment).

  • Navigate to the settings section to change your Wi-Fi name (SSID) and password.

5. Basic Functions

  • Turning On/Off: Press the Power Button for 3-5 seconds.

  • Checking Data Usage: The LCD screen shows real-time data usage, or you can check via the management web portal.

  • Connecting Additional Devices: Up to 15 devices can simultaneously connect to the hotspot.

6. Troubleshooting Tips

  • No Internet Connection:

    • Ensure you have a strong signal (at least 2 bars).

    • Restart the device.

    • Make sure your data plan is active.

  • Forgot Wi-Fi Password:

    • Press the Power Button to cycle through information on the LCD screen to redisplay the Wi-Fi name and password.

  • Device Not Charging:

    • Ensure the charging cable is connected correctly.

    • Try a different power source or cable if the issue persists.

  • No Signal: Ensure your SIM card is inserted correctly and has an active data plan. Try moving to an area with better 5G coverage.
