Setting up Windows 10 on your refurbished computer can be done in a few simple steps. Follow the prompts and instructions below and contact us if you run into any trouble.

  1. Choose your region.
  2. Choose your keyboard layout.
  3. When prompted to connect to a network, we suggest clicking "I don't have internet" in the bottom left, as shown in the picture here. This will allow you to set up without a Microsoft account. You can always connect to the internet after the setup is complete.
  4. On the next screen, click "Limited Experience" in the bottom left to confirm that you do not want to set up a Microsoft account.
  5. Enter whatever name you would like on the screen about who will use the PC.
  6. Next, you can choose to create a password. If you do create a password, remember to write it down somewhere safe. If you do not wish to create a password, leave the area blank and click "Next."
    1. If you create a password, you will be prompted to create three security questions. Use the dropdown to select your question and then type in your answer. These will be used if you ever get locked out of your account.
  7. The next screen allows you to select the privacy settings for your device. You can allow or deny any of these settings by clicking the blue bar.
  8. Lastly, you can choose to either enable or disable Cortana. Cortana is Microsoft's personal productivity assistant that helps you save time and focus attention on what matters most. Select "Accept" or "Not Now."
  9. Once you have completed all these setup steps, the computer will begin the setup process. This may take several minutes. Once complete, you can start using your computer.
